About this Course

In partnership with the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging (CCAA), the City of London is pleased to announce a new exercise program geared towards enhancing the health and well-being of community-based people aged 55+. The LEVEL 1 program is led by a CCAA certified instructor and designed for older adults who have not engaged in an exercise routine recently or feel that their mobility is challenged in some or all components of functional fitness (strength, cardiovascular conditioning/stamina, flexibility, and balance). The classes run three times per week and consist of 60-minute group exercise classes designed to introduce and practice meaningful exercises that will enhance mobility and function. All weekly classes include exercises that target, cardiovascular conditioning, strength, mobility, flexibility, and balance. Program participants will experience the added benefit of completing a comprehensive functional fitness assessment administered by CCAA staff and students.
